New bilingual identity for HSPnet!

We are proud to announce a new bilingual identify for HSPnet, thanks to a cross-provincial Working Group for HSPnet Language Duality led by Lucie Lecours, Project Coordinator.

The Working Group is reviewing HSPnet documentation to advise the project on its three key deliverables:

1. HSPnet Communications Toolkit – conversation of the HSPnet public website plus key documents and presentations to French

2. Needs Assessment – consultation with French, bilingual, and English jurisdictions on the needs and practical use of a bilingual HSPnet system

3. Action Plan for HSPnet Language Duality – functionality requirements, development budget, and action plan

The key activities and contributions of the Working Group include:

  • Review of translated HSPnet identity (logo) and terminology used on HSPnet screens and documents
  • Review of key documents and presentations as translated for use in bilingual and francophone jurisdictions
  • Inventory of francophone and bilingual educational programs in the health sciences
  • Identification of support needs for a bilingual system (trainers, Help Desk, documentation)
  • Identification of policy requirements of a bilingual infrastructure (language skills requirements, training and recruitment plan)

This exciting work is funded by a grant from the Enhancement of Official Languages Program of Canadian Heritage, Government of Canada.
