HSPnet is Now Live in Alberta!
March 7th was a historic day for HSPnet, when about a dozen users in Edmonton
logged in for the first time to HSPnet-AB, a new instance of HSPnet created
for our neighbours in Alberta!
The HSPnet-AB initiative, sponsored by the University of Alberta Faculty
of Nursing on behalf of four nursing schools and Capital Health Region,
represents the BCAHC's first HSPnet Development Partnership. The Partnership
will allow HSPnet-AB users to access HSPnet on a cost sharing basis with
BC users. Both provinces benefit from lower ongoing costs of operating
and enhancing the system, and the parties are now well positioned to attract
grants and other funding that will ensure the ongoing sustainability and
improvement of HSPnet.
