Managing Practice Education - Content Management

Content Management

HSPnet offers features to maintain and to share content that can be applied to multiple placements or activities. Some tools are for individual use, while others are to facilitate regional or provincial efforts to standardize practices relating to practice education. Content management tools in HSPnet include:

  • Correspondence module (CORR) – for generating customized documents and forms based on HSPnet data
  • Affiliation Agreements Manager (AAM) – tools for managing educational contracts
  • Practice Education Guidelines (PEG) – tools for managing policies based on best practice guidelines or established documents
  • eOrientation for Practice Education (eOPE) – tools for publishing and managing eLearning topics for student orientation
  • eCommunity Tools (PEEC) – advanced management of the Staff Profile to support networking and collaboration

Content Managers Guide to Practice Education Guidelines (PEG) Quick Reference Guide A guide for Content Managers on reviewing published best practice guidelines (templates), creating/updating organizational policies from published templates or pre-existing documents, and tracking the status of provincial and local policies.
PE Guidelines in BC List below A list of PE guidelines developed in BC including records searches and immunization requirements, orientation, confidentiality, intellectual property, and scope of practice
Content Managers Guide to e-Orientation (eOPE) for Practice Education Quick Reference Guide A guide for Content Managers on reviewing and adopting published eLearning modules for access by students in preparation for an upcoming placement.

Practice Education e-Community Tools

 Quick Reference Guide A guide for user management of their online Staff profile including expanded features to track interests and activities and to share documents and tools with colleagues.

 

Practice Guideline 1-2 is being updated to be consistent with present legislature which can be found on the BC Ministry of Health website.
