Each province establishes a local HSPnet User Group to address local issues, review and update policies and procedures, generate local enhancement ideas, and provide advice to the national HSPnet Steering Committee on future expansion and development.
Responsibilities
- Provides input into HSPnet implementation and enhancement through review and feedback on system prototypes, test versions, and key design (Requirements Definition) documents;
- Guides HSPnet team members on issues of user communications, user support, minor fixes and enhancements, training, and documentation;
- Assists the HSPnet Team by identifying individuals, existing organizations/structures, and processes to support design and testing of new enhancements;
- Provides a forum for local issues that impact HSPnet users but may
not be directly related to the HSPnet system itself. The result of such
discussions could include recommendations to other groups or committees
regarding revised policies or procedures that may or may not involve
changes to HSPnet use or functionality. An example of this would be
recommendations to a BCAHC committee on streamlining the Affiliation
agreement process.
Membership
All HSPnet users are eligible to attend User Group meetings. As appropriate, meetings may be divided to allow focused discussion by special interest groups (e.g. for one or more disciplines, for Placing Agencies versus Receiving Agencies, etc.)
Facilitation and Support
Administrative support to the HSPnet User Group will be provided by the HSPnet Team:
- Agendas and minutes
- Facilities, logistics and refreshments
- Handouts and distribution of materials
User Group meetings will be facilitated by the HSPnet Director.
Meeting Frequency
The HSPnet User Group will meet once per year or more frequently as required. Meetings of special interest groups may be called more frequently, in addition to a full group meeting.
Task Groups
Time-limited groups may be established to address specific development or process issues. These groups will report their findings to the HSPnet User Group.
